About The Position

The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing competent treatment to in-patients and/or out-patients in compliance with Manatee Health policies, standards and philosophy, The Joint Commission standards, and the APTA Code of Ethics under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide intervention to individuals who experience a loss of and/or deficiency in functional independence related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability. Interventions are developed with the patient and their family and/or caregivers as partners in the rehabilitation process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Associate’s degree
State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License or license-eligible
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
