Physical Therapy Aide-Outpatient
About The Position
Theradynamics is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide for an outpatient facility in New York. The company provides rehabilitative therapy services in the Tri-State area and works with patients to help them achieve their goals through creative treatments and state-of-the-art equipment. The position may be available on a full-time or part-time basis. Compensation and benefits depend on the position, applicable experience, and employment type; the posting notes that rate ranges include per-diem roles without benefits and independent contractors. The role supports staff and patients with transfers and transportation to and from therapy areas, monitors patients during exercise routines, and assists with treatment-area setup and cleanup. Other duties include cleaning and distributing wheelchairs, maintaining equipment and making minor repairs, performing clerical tasks, keeping work areas orderly, and helping maintain patient safety. The aide is expected to follow instructions, complete assignments independently, and attend required in-service education and on-the-job training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Assist unit staff with transfers of residents or patients as needed.
- Transport residents and patients to and from therapy treatment areas.
- Monitor residents and patients during exercise routines.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of treatment areas.
- Assist with cleaning and distribution of wheelchairs.
- Maintain equipment and make minor repairs.
- Assist with clerical duties, including copying, faxing, filing, and answering phones.
- Keep the work area neat and orderly.
- Maintain residents’ and patients’ safety during transport and while assisting in the treatment area.
- Follow instructions and guidance, find solutions to work-related problems, and complete assignments independently without constant supervision.
- Attend and participate in required in-service educational programs and on-the-job training as directed or scheduled.
