About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide, equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions, assists the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians with administrative and clinical duties. The aide greets patients and works alongside physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during treatment. Duties must comply with state practice act requirements. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

High school graduate; an intern is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to clearly document projects and manage production.
Attention to detail and time-management skills.
Energetic team player able to demonstrate compassion toward patients and complete tasks thoroughly.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Ability to meet the stated vision, communication, office-activity, mobility, lifting, and fine-hand-manipulation demands of the role.

Nice To Haves

Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience.
Basic knowledge of office equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including putting on and removing supportive devices; assist physical therapists during treatment and provide routine treatment.
Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of professional staff.
Provide routine treatments, such as hot and cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
Clean the work area and equipment after treatment.
Wash and fold linens and towels and maintain linen cabinets.
Maintain restrooms and other areas, including windows as needed, and restock paper towels, tissue paper, soap, and other supplies.
Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork and charts.
Help track medical and non-medical clinic supplies and may order inventory.
