About The Position
Join a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient care while gaining healthcare skills and direct exposure to physical therapy. The Physical Therapy Aide works alongside Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals and receives hands-on training and mentorship. This role supports patient recovery and helps clinicians deliver an efficient, welcoming care experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Healthcare and/or customer service experience.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare experience, such as Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, or PT/PTA student experience.
- Certified Personal Trainer experience.
- Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact warmly with patients by phone and in person during check-in and throughout appointments.
- Promote efficient patient intake and registration, and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
- Onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, and helping complete medical forms.
- Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up and adjust exercise equipment for Physical Therapists.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
- Assist patients with exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
