About The Position

HSHS/Prevea is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient neuro rehabilitation team. The PT would evaluate and treat primarily adults with neurologic conditions, including stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and vestibular disorders, while also providing evidence-based care for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Develops individualized treatment plans, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, educates patients and caregivers, and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to maximize function, mobility, and independence.

Requirements

  • Graduate (e.g., bachelors, master, or doctorate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is required.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice is required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
  • Illinois: Following physical therapy philosophies and standards of care set by Illinois Physical Therapy Act and other applicable governing agencies, licensure is required within 1 year for individuals meeting all other applicable requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience treating neurologic populations is preferred; however, motivated candidates with a strong interest in neurologic rehabilitation and a willingness to learn through mentorship and continuing education are encouraged to apply.
