About The Position
Therapy services are provided to a wide range of patient care areas, including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology. This role is primarily inpatient acute care. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for assessments, documentation, patient/family education, and safety & injury prevention. The position requires strong communication skills and a desire to work with a variety of patient populations.
Requirements
- 1 year of level 1 trauma acute care experience required.
- BLS certification.
- State Licensed.
- Proficiency in acute care experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a variety of patient populations.
- Experience with assessments, documentation, patient/family education, and safety & injury prevention.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to patients in medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology.
- Perform assessments and documentation.
- Provide patient/family education.
- Ensure safety and injury prevention.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, potentially in any therapy service line.
Benefits
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes, 3 shifts per 13 weeks. The cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned.
