About The Position

The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements medically prescribed treatment programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. This professional-level role allows independent operations and requires discretion and sound judgment to provide high-quality therapeutic care. The position is per diem (PRN), with a day shift and weekend rotation, including sick and vacation coverage, at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.

Requirements

• Successfully complete the state board examination.
• Hold a current license to practice physical therapy in the State of Washington.

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac patients is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform effectively in stressful and emergency situations.
• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and modify plans according to patient needs and responses to treatment.
• Perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient populations as directed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Communicate with patients, peers, and other health professionals to coordinate patient care.
