About The Position

Texas Health Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join their team in Ft. Worth, TX. This role involves working with recreationally active individuals and athletes, engaging with local high schools and universities, and utilizing advanced equipment in a newly renovated clinic. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or Master's degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or Other Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required.
PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Other Board-certified Clinical Specialist Upon Hire Preferred: Sports Certified Specialists (ABPTS), Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist - CSCS (NSCA)
Two (2) years prior experience Or Residency-trained strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
Educate patients and families through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration with local athletic trainers and physicians.
