About The Position

As a Physical Therapist with Wabash General’s outpatient team, you will assess and diagnose by conducting comprehensive orthopaedic and musculoskeletal evaluations to identify movement dysfunction, pain generators, and functional limitations. You will design and deliver individualized treatment plans, leveraging manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, soft-tissue mobilization, and patient education to accelerate recovery and optimize wellness. You will restore and prevent by guiding patients through interventions that restore mobility, maintain strength and fitness, and minimize risk of reinjury or chronic disability. You will collaborate and communicate by working closely with other PTs & PTAs, rehab techs, physicians, and interdisciplinary colleagues; documenting progress clearly and educating patients and families every step of the way. You will champion community health by leading outreach efforts, wellness screenings, and educational workshops to raise awareness of our outpatient services and preventive care strategies.

Requirements

  • Licensed in good standing by the state of Illinois as a physical therapist, graduated from an APTA approved curriculum.
  • Cognitive and motor skills necessary to carry out skilled therapy evaluations, treatments, and documentation according to the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act, APTA Core Values, and the Joint Commission.
  • CPR certified. Must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as defined in the job description and physical activities summary.
  • Position requires continual physical activity including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases.

Responsibilities
