About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist to provide weekday coverage at an assisted living community in Rochester, New York. The role requires availability during the Monday–Friday workweek for PRN coverage. The Physical Therapist evaluates patients’ physical conditions and provides treatment and education to improve function, relieve pain, and support recovery. The position works collaboratively with healthcare providers and maintains accurate, compliant documentation. Compensation is $55 per hour.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other treatments to improve functionality and alleviate pain.
- Educate patients and families about exercises, posture, body mechanics, home routines, and lifestyle changes to support recovery and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
