Requirements
- BS, MS or DPT degree in Physical Therapy from accredited PT program.
- Current NYS license required.
- BLS required.

- New grads considered if clinical affiliations have included acute care setting and/or inpatient rehab setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care under MD referral in inpatient acute care and inpatient rehab settings.
- Maintains required documentation and professional relationships with patients, families, and staff.
- Adheres to MH/department policies and procedures and JC/regulatory agency requirements.
- Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.
- Administers Physical Therapy treatments per MD referral and in accordance with NYS practice act.
- Performs comprehensive evaluations.
- Develops appropriate treatment plans with realistic, functional goals.
- Observes patients' response to treatment physically and psychologically and adjusts the treatment plan accordingly.
- Educates nursing and other hospital staff regarding posture, body mechanics, and transfer techniques as needed.
