About The Position

This position involves directing the evaluation, development, coordination, and implementation of physical therapy intervention for patients. The role also includes serving as a patient advocate to ensure physical therapy delivery meets legal, ethical, and institutional standards, while adhering to the department's and organization's philosophy, objectives, guidelines, policies, and procedures. The position is an open-pooled position, meaning applicants' education/experience will be considered, and the role may be filled at a lower or higher level as appropriate. The work schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy or Doctoral from an accredited program.
• Zero (0) years' related experience for Physical Therapist.
• Texas PT licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (TBPTE).
• Maintain active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (Approved by American Heart Association).
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited program for Senior Physical Therapist.
• Licensed or eligible for license in the State of Texas for Senior Physical Therapist.
• Five years’ related experience for Senior Physical Therapist.

Nice To Haves

• Wound care experience is highly desirable.
• Candidates without prior wound care experience must be willing to receive departmental wound care training to support patient care and departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Directs the evaluation, development, coordination and implementation of physical therapy intervention provided to patients.
• Provides physical therapy services under the guidelines set by the Practice Act and Rules of the Texas Board of Physical Therapy.
• Serves as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of physical therapy meets legal, ethical and institutional standards, while adhering to the philosophy, objectives, guidelines, policies and procedures of the department and the organization.
