Physical Therapist - Per Diem
About The Position
Provides direct physical therapy services to patients. Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals. Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status and plans and implements therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin. Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care. Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy. Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, required
- Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider
- Notification from Continental Testing Services advising of receipt and approval of application for licensure (if first-time test taker).
- “Authorization to Test” (ATT) letter from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
- Confirmation of Computer-Based Exam
- State of Illinois Physical Therapy license within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience with demonstration of clinical independence in an Acute-Care setting, preferred
- Master's Degree, preferred
