As a PRN Physical Therapist, you'll partner with primary care providers and an interdisciplinary team to address diverse musculoskeletal issues, support chronic disease management, and create lasting changes through movement and education. Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Current license or temporary permit to practice as a Physical Therapist in VA. Compact Licensure, where applicable.
  • One year of outpatient PT experience OR entry through an approved CareATC mentor program (new grads welcome).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management, and professional customer interaction skills.
  • Commitment to whole-person care, seeing beyond the diagnosis to empower patients to achieve lasting mobility and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal and screening assessments.
  • Perform evaluations to establish functional goals, timeframes, and personalized treatment plans based on physician referral.
  • Provide direct, high-quality care in-clinic or virtually, using adaptive equipment, therapeutic techniques, and modalities.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, track progress, and regularly re-evaluate using standard tests.
  • Revise goals and communicate changes to the physician as needed.
  • Coordinate care within the interdisciplinary team, including goal/discharge planning.
  • Provide necessary discharge instructions and home exercise programs to patients and families.
  • Adhere strictly to all regulatory, HIPAA, infection control standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain strong performance on key company/patient care metrics (KPIs, NPS/PEX, and outcomes).
