About The Position

Soundly Speaking is seeking passionate and committed Physical Therapists to serve adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within the major cities of Texas. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve inspiring clients ages 21 and up. We provide both in-person and teletherapy services. This is a W2 Part Time Position.

Requirements

• Ability to learn on the job.
• Ability to utilize and augment the materials we provide.
• Texas-issued Physical Therapist License.
• DO NOT apply if you do not have a valid Texas-issued Physical Therapist License.
• DO NOT apply if you are not comfortable working with adults in their homes and/or outside of a clinic.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients over Zoom and providing accurate evaluations and reevaluations.
• Documenting evaluation visits.
• Contacting families and case managers to share updates.
• Monitoring Assistants as needed to ensure they provide the highest quality service.
• Answering any questions assistants may have.
• Provide high quality evaluations in the client’s home.
• Communicate with families about the therapy sessions.
• Provide the appropriate amount of supervision for their assistants.
• Turn in paperwork in a 24-hour timeline.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations.
