About The Position

EDU-AIDs is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapist for a full-time opportunity with one of our school district partners in Lake Grove, NY 11755. In this role, you will support students with a variety of physical and developmental needs by providing individualized therapy services that improve mobility, independence, and participation in the educational environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with a multidisciplinary school team.

Requirements

Current New York Physical Therapist license in good standing.
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform evaluations to assess students' physical functioning, motor skills, strength, balance, and mobility.
Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aligned with each student's educational goals.
Provide direct therapy services to help students improve functional movement and participation in classroom and school activities.
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and Child Study Team members to ensure coordinated student support.
Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations regarding students' physical therapy needs.
Monitor student progress and modify intervention strategies as appropriate.
