About The Position
EDU-AIDs is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for one of our school client locations in Nesconset, NY 11767. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the mobility, independence, and overall well-being of students with diverse needs. You will assess, develop, and implement tailored plans that support students' physical development and participation in school activities. Your expertise will help foster an inclusive environment where every student can thrive physically, socially, and academically.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New York with experience in school-based settings.
- Ability to work effectively within school settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ physical abilities, including assessments of physiology and anatomy knowledge relevant to pediatric care, as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized goals and objectives focused on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and child study team.
- Monitor progress through regular documentation.
- Attendance at IEP meetings as needed.
