About The Position
Join UPMC Muncy Place as a Casual (PRN) Physical Therapist and make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, developing individualized care plans that support recovery and functional independence. You’ll work collaboratively with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Solid understanding of human growth and development across the lifespan
- Ability to analyze and interpret medical records and clinical information
- Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership
- Committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service
- Demonstrated ability to adapt, prioritize, and manage workload effectively
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the practicing state
- BLS or CPR certification (AHA-compliant) required within 30 days of hire
- Act 34 clearance
- OAPSA clearance

Responsibilities
- Perform initial evaluations, reassessments, and treatment interventions
- Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and progress
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to communicate patient status
- Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to optimize care delivery
- Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharges
- Complete charging and productivity documentation in alignment with department standards
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
- Support department needs through occasional rotation across treatment areas
