About The Position

Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Outpatient Rehabilitation Department is seeking a Full-Time Musculoskeletal Physical Therapist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Physical Therapy evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and establishing goals in collaboration with patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and a dedication to exceptional patient-centered care. You will apply treatments in accordance with professional standards, state licensure regulations, and hospital policies. The department is dedicated to providing an outstanding patient experience through consistent customer service and evidence-based practice. We support clinical and professional development through mentorship with Clinical Specialists, continuing education, in-service/case presentations, and participation in community outreach and professional organization activities. Under the general supervision of the Rehab Manager, you will perform Physical Therapy examinations, develop treatment plans and establish treatment goals with patient input, and apply interventions to a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric.

Requirements

  • Meets licensure requirements in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Physical Therapy.
  • Outpatient Orthopedic PT experience
  • Licensed, by the Division of Professional Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (The Board of Allied Health is required for Physical and Occupational Therapists; the Board of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists for Speech Therapists).
  • CPR training is required annually

Responsibilities

  • Directs, implements and evaluates patient care, with a clinical assignment in relation to department need

  • Collaborates with other disciplines to provide coordinated interdisciplinary patient care.
