About The Position

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist for their Outpatient Rehabilitation department at Wilkes Medical Center. This role primarily focuses on pediatric patients but will also involve cross-training for adult outpatient and hospital/SNU settings. The position requires participation in a weekend rotation for hospital PT coverage. The ideal candidate will be a strong pediatric clinician who adheres to hospital and departmental policies, contributes to quality services, and provides comprehensive patient care assessments and treatments. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans with realistic goals, supervising support staff, maintaining accurate documentation, meeting financial and productivity standards, and participating in process management to optimize services. The role also involves promoting professional development, conducting in-service training, staying updated on professional changes, and communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff. The therapist must demonstrate age/developmentally specific knowledge and skills in patient care.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or D.P.T. degree from accredited physical therapy school.
• Current licensure in the state of applicable state
• CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.
