About The Position
MaxHealth has an immediate opening for a full-time Physical Therapist to work within our Physical Therapy practice located in Lakewood Ranch. The Physical Therapist will help patients improve their movement and manage their pain. They will provide treatment of patients with chronic conditions or injuries.
Requirements
- Has a Physical Therapy Degree
- Hold a valid license to practice physical therapy
- Strong communication and customer service skills at all levels of interaction
- Computer Skills (Preferably experience with EMR/EHR)
- Ability to Multi-Task and prioritize while functioning well in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- experience with EMR/EHR
Responsibilities
- Diagnose patients' dysfunctional movements by watching them stand or walk and by listening to their concerns.
- Set up a physical therapy plan; outline the patient's goals and the planned treatments
- Evaluate a patient's progress, modifying a treatment plan and trying new treatments as needed
- Educate patients and their families about what to expect during recovery from injury and illness and how best to cope with what happens
