About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist - Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week travel assignment in St. Louis, MO. Physical therapists evaluate posture, gait, balance, coordination and strength to develop a treatment plan with the goal of helping the patient regain mobility and independence. After identifying areas of strength and weakness, a physical therapist may work to improve a patient’s independence with tasks such as getting up from a chair or climbing stairs. Leads, guides and directs the delivery of physical therapy services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of PT experience
  • Must have LTC or Rehab Experience
  • Must have PT license
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state.
  • Must meet educational requirements of his/her licensure requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
  • Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care is required.
  • Missouri State License required/Compact Allowed
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association preferred
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association preferred

  • Monitoring a patient’s progress to make sure that they’re successfully completing treatment
  • Encouraging the patient during their recovery process
  • Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems
  • Helping injured employees improve their motor skills with the goal of re-entering the workforce
  • Teaching patients with disabilities to become more independent
  • Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist
  • Keeping the office, treatment room and equipment in good order
  • Teaching patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients’ treatment program
