About The Position

The Physical Therapist functions as an interdisciplinary team member, providing patient assessment and reassessment, direct patient care, and individualized care planning and implementation. The position plans, evaluates, and administers physical therapy programs for outpatient populations and provides supervision to licensed physical therapist assistants in accordance with the New Hampshire practice act.

Requirements

• Licensed by the New Hampshire Board of Medicine as a Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, as required by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
• BCLS required.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients.
• Knowledge of equipment and ability to adjust it to suit patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and reassessment, direct patient care, and individualized care planning and implementation.
• Plan, evaluate, and administer physical therapy programs for outpatient populations.
• Collect and integrate data from multiple sources and apply critical thinking when considering alternatives.
• Organize and prioritize a multitask workload.
• Assess health literacy and incorporate teaching focused on health promotion.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using computer charting and ordering appropriately.
• Demonstrate department-specific skills and competencies.
• Supervise licensed physical therapist assistants in accordance with the New Hampshire practice act, including reviewing notes and collaborating in care.
• Comply with insurance and CMS regulations.
• Work as scheduled and comply with the Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
