About The Position

The Physical Therapist 1 is an entry-level clinical role responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines. The physical therapist will supervise support staff and assist the team, the Director of CRM, and satellite manager in any tasks they might need in compliance with federal and state mandates and SCOI practices. California State licensure is a requirement.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Lower-level degree from an accredited physical therapy program will be accepted if lower-level degree grandfathered in for licensure.
  • A minimum of 2 years of out-patient clinical expertise with an emphasis of differential diagnosis, examination, treatment of various musculoskeletal pathologies; both non-operative and post-operative.
  • California State licensure is a requirement.
  • Ability to read and understand simple to comprehensive instructions, correspondence, memos, medical reports.
  • Ability to write detailed correspondence, reports and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information to patients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to express oneself in writing to best portray a patient’s progress.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to recognize problems or issues, determine an action plan and implement in an orderly and timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SCOI systems and computer applications in general.
  • A valid California PT license in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Significant continuing education/certifications are preferable.
  • Certification in specialty and/ or treatment techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and establishes a physical therapy treatment plan of care for each patient.
  • Maintains an open line of communication with patients, staff, managers, directors, and physicians. This is to include phones and emails.
  • Maintains a safe area for patient and staff.
  • Able to safely deliver treatment considering the physical requirements of the job.
  • Able to complete all documentation the day services are rendered.
  • Meets minimum productivity standards set by CRM Director; 65 patients a week.
  • Attend at least the minimum continuing education requirements for licensure set forth by the California Physical Therapy Board.
  • Maintain their Licensure as issued by the State of California, complete continuing education within timeframes as required by licensing entities, and current CPR certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.
