About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join their Skilled Nursing (SNF) rehab team at John Knox Village. This position is designed for therapists who enjoy working with medically complex patients, short-term rehabilitation, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of one's license within a well-resourced SNF in a luxury Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), providing stability, clinical variety, and supportive infrastructure. The environment is described as not being a 'revolving-door' setting, emphasizing quality care and relationships.
Requirements
- Current Florida Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Interest or experience in Skilled Nursing / post-acute rehab.
- Strong clinical judgment and teamwork mindset.
- Passion for helping older adults recover and regain independence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, outcomes-driven rehabilitation.
- Help residents regain strength, independence, and confidence.
- Work with medically complex patients.
- Engage in short-term rehab and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Help patients transition safely from SNF to home or lower levels of care.
- Build strong partnerships with nursing, physicians, and care managers.
