About The Position

The Center for Disability Services is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our Summer School Program in Schenectady, NY! Program Dates: Summer Program: July 8th – August 21st Orientation Dates: July 7th & 8th. Requirements

  • Graduate degree (Doctorate/Masters) in field of Physical Therapy is required
  • Current NYS Licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality physical therapy services
  • Assesses current level of function
  • Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan
  • Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation
  • Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed
  • Completes student evaluation as assigned, which include initial evaluations, reevaluations, and wheelchair evaluations
  • Completes report cards and annual student reviews
  • Supervises assigned Physical Therapy Assistants or student interns as needed
  • Reviews and cosigns documentation completed by Physical Therapy Assistants and students as assigned
  • Communicates with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts and county service providers
  • Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base
  • Complies with Federal, State and local legal and professional requirements
