About The Position
The Center for Disability Services is looking for a Physical Therapist to join their Summer School Program in Schenectady, NY. The program runs from July 8th to August 21st, with orientation on July 7th and 8th. The Center for Disability Services has been a leading provider of programs and services for individuals with disabilities in upstate New York for 80 years, offering innovative and vital services.
Requirements
- Graduate degree (Doctorate/Masters) in field of Physical Therapy is required
- Current NYS Licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Responsibilities
- Provides quality physical therapy services
- Assesses current level of function
- Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan
- Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation
- Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed
- Completes student evaluation as assigned, which include initial evaluations, reevaluations, and wheelchair evaluations
- Completes report cards and annual student reviews
- Supervises assigned Physical Therapy Assistants or student interns as needed
- Reviews and cosigns documentation completed by Physical Therapy Assistants and students as assigned
- Communicates with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts and county service providers
- Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base
- Complies with Federal, State and local legal and professional requirements
