About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for their Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) at Ascension Saint Thomas River Park. This PRN position involves providing vital rehabilitation services to patients, helping them regain physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent further dysfunction. Requirements

• Current state PT license.
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Physical Therapist License in state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Previous experience in a rehab setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and patient capabilities/desires.
• Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed physical treatment programs.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques suitable for the patient's age and condition.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel, assessing competence and delegating tasks.
• Administers treatment using physical agents and equipment such as moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
