Physical Therapist (P.T.) Inpatient PRN Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This role supports the 815-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has served the Ft. Worth and surrounding community since 1930. It is a rewarding career with family-friendly hours at a Level I trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke center with specialized programs in hip and knee replacement, brain tumors, spine surgery, heart attack care, neurotrauma, and geriatric hip fracture.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.
PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.
Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Acute care experience preferred, but New Grads are welcome!
Geriatric Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
Wound Management Clinical Specialist (ABPTS)
Certified lymphedema therapists
Certified hand therapists

Responsibilities

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
