About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Physical Therapist provides compassionate treatment to medically complex and post-ICU patients as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting patients through assessment, goal setting, treatment, and discharge planning. The position is full-time on weekdays, with no weekends and a flexible schedule. Compensation is $31–$54 per hour depending on years of experience, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time hires. Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work independently in a small hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients and families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
Work independently and collaboratively with other disciplines.
