Requirements

  • Current or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
  • If foreign-trained, degree must be evaluated as equivalent to U.S. entry-level PT education by an APTA-approved credentialing agency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with state practice acts, plan of care, and company policies.
  • Help optimize functional mobility, independence, and quality of life for members of the aging population.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in required orientations, staff meetings, and in-service education.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Rehabilitation, develop robust therapy program.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants as indicated.
  • Follow all infection control procedures and OBRA Resident Rights Guidelines.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and effectively prioritize patient care.
  • Support compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Perform duties that may involve moderate to heavy physical demands.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
