About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Physical Therapist for a part-time pediatric position in Leonardtown, Maryland. The role may be school-based or in Early Intervention and is scheduled for three days per week. The therapist will assess and treat children, support their academic and functional success, and work with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Compensation is $45–$50 per hour. Part-time benefits packages are available.

Requirements

Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or eligibility to obtain a license.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and flexibility, in accordance with state school and clinical guidelines.
Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other treatments to improve functionality and alleviate pain.
Educate patients and families on exercises, posture, body mechanics, home routines, and lifestyle changes aligned with student IEPs or client treatment goals.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
