About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Part-Time Physical Therapist opportunity in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is at a highly-rated Assisted Living and Memory Care facility, offering approximately 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling. The position is also open to PRN. As a Physical Therapist, you will empower residents to regain independence and improve their quality of life by creating personalized treatment plans and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. You will support daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehab, bringing compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session. Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or license eligible
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in geriatrics or long-term care is a plus
  • Strong communication, compassion, and a can-do spirit

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and flexibility.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other treatments to enhance functionality and alleviate pain.
  • Educate patients and families on exercises, posture, and body mechanics to aid recovery, prevent injuries, and offer guidance on home routines and lifestyle changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
