This position is for a Special Operations Physical Therapist who will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. The role involves licensed independent practice and credentialing as direct care providers in specific military health promotion settings. The Physical Therapist will support the Human Performance (HP) program for Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel, with a priority on SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel. This includes providing neuro-musculoskeletal injury care, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmaceuticals, performing dry needling and acupuncture, conducting joint injections and aspirations, and referring to specialty providers. The role may also involve supervising PT Techs, PT Assistants, and/or Certified Athletic Trainers, participating in meetings, advising on sports medicine and injury prevention, assisting with administrative matters and fiscal planning, conducting equipment and literature reviews, and contributing to database development. Peer reviews and the development of job descriptions, performance standards, and clinical practice guidelines are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires documentation in electronic health records and adherence to all mandatory training requirements.
