About The Position

Powerback is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility setting. The therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers physical therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities. The role involves adapting care to individual needs, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of licensure and eligibility.
A master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or a master’s degree in a Physical Therapy-related field plus a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; or a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy plus five years of progressively responsible PT experience.
A qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside the United States must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. degree in Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans.
Deliver physical therapy to help patients recover and improve physical abilities.
Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities.
Adapt care to patients’ individual needs and the variety of work and settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
