About The Position

Independence Rehab is hiring a Physical Therapist for a 25–30-hour-per-week position at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso in Tucson, Arizona. The role provides clinical variety across the continuum of geriatric care: inpatient rehabilitation in skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy in assisted living and independent living. Outpatient treatments are scheduled as individual 45-minute appointments. The position is not expected to grow into a 40-hour workweek, and the schedule is flexible in both the days worked and the structure of the workday. The therapist will evaluate and treat older adults, develop and adjust individualized plans of care, collaborate with facility and interdisciplinary team members, and provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to physical therapist assistants. Independence Rehab is therapist-owned and operated and emphasizes ethical, evidence-based care, clinical autonomy, realistic expectations, meaningful outcomes, and supportive leadership.

Requirements

Be licensed or license-eligible as a Physical Therapist in Arizona.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Be organized and comfortable working independently.
Enjoy building relationships with older adults.

Nice To Haves

Previous skilled nursing facility or geriatric experience is helpful but not required.
Interest in approximately 25–30 hours per week, flexibility, and autonomy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat geriatric patients in skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living settings.
Provide inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
Develop and adjust individualized plans of care.
Collaborate with nursing, physicians, facility staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to physical therapist assistant team members.
Help residents maintain or regain mobility, independence, and quality of life.
