About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join their team and care for a diverse patient population in an inpatient hospital setting. This role focuses on patients requiring extended hospital care, allowing therapists to deeply understand patient goals and follow their progress. The PT will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver goal-oriented, evidence-based care. PAM Health operates over 80 hospital locations nationwide and emphasizes compassionate care and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • PT license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior inpatient hospital experience.
  • Experience working specifically for amputees or a desire and commitment to learn.
  • Specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy interventions based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
  • Guide patients through progressive recovery, ensuring care is delivered in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss progress, set shared goals, and ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility strategies, safety, and long-term health and wellness.
  • Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants and other team members involved in patient care.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act, professional code of ethics, and PAM Health policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive, encouraging, and patient-centered care environment.
