About The Position

Exploration Kids Therapy, in partnership with Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health and Pediatric Psychology Services of Colorado, is expanding its services across the western slope of Colorado. We specialize in early childhood and pediatric therapy, focusing on neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care. Our multidisciplinary clinics serve children and families in multiple locations, emphasizing inclusive, play-based, and strengths-focused approaches. This specific role is based in Gunnison, Colorado, and will primarily serve children referred by pediatricians, partner clinics, and early intervention networks.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Colorado state licensure (or eligibility).
  • Knowledge of early motor development, pediatric conditions, and play-based intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to client dignity, safety, and self-determination.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training and a passion for neurodiversity-affirming care are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled pediatric physical therapy services in-person.
  • Work with children who experience gross motor delays, neuromuscular conditions, developmental coordination disorder, sensory-motor challenges, and related diagnoses.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans targeting motor development, postural control, functional mobility, and adaptive movement.
  • Engage in play-based therapy that honors child autonomy and supports family priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, and mental health clinicians.
  • Support families through caregiver coaching and individualized home programming.
  • Utilize clinic resources including adaptive equipment, sensory-motor tools, and open play areas.
