About The Position
This opening is for an Assistant Producer for the Content Department of Maryland Public Television. This position will assist with research, media management, release forms, maintaining and creating social media, scheduling, and other production areas as needed. The Assistant Producer will also have opportunities to assist Producers on location.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, media or related field
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in media production
- Candidates may substitute coursework in journalism, media, or similar field from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
Nice To Haves
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of non linear editing systems, including AVID and Premiere Pro
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating shoots
- Assist producers on location
- Assist with post-production and scheduling
- Organizing footage and release forms
- Image and archival research
- Other duties as assigned
