About The Position

PRO Pediatric Services is seeking an exceptional Physical Therapist (PT) to provide services within a local intermediate unit for Extending School Year (ESY). This position is part-time and will involve working with a K-12, school-based caseload. The role requires implementing specialized therapy treatment in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), administering physical therapy assessments, analyzing and interpreting assessment data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The Physical Therapist will also serve as a member of the school's multidisciplinary team and IEP program team, offering consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents. Responsibilities include completing and maintaining required documentation and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
  • Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapy License
  • Must have at least 1 year consecutive experience treating children and/or adolescents in an educational setting
  • Must be comfortable using a computer
  • Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
  • Current clearances (within 6 months)
  • Must have all clearances updated within the year

Responsibilities

  • Implement specialized therapy treatment in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • Administers physical therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of functioning relative to their age and educational placement in a variety of areas.
  • Analyze and interpret assessment data and facilitate the use of the data as a guide for operative instruction to improve student skills.
  • Collaborates alongside a multidisciplinary team including special education staff, classroom teachers, and other service providers to ensure continuity and consistency in providing comprehensive services to students.
  • Serves as a member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, IEP program team, and offer consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s goals
  • Completes, updates, and maintains required documentation
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
