Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy school.
• Preferably two years of clinical experience (if applicable).
• Capable of lifting the equivalent weight of an adult-size patient.
• Licensed by the state in which the Physical Therapist resides or practices Physical Therapy according to state requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist is a licensed professional who directs, supervises, evaluates and provides physical therapy services to the patients as prescribed by the attending physician.
• May supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides.
