Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current or pending Ohio State PT licensure.
- AHA BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire).
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Ohio State PTA licensure.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review physician referrals and medical records; perform comprehensive evaluations of strength, motor development, and functional capacity.
- Develop and revise treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Work with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to integrate therapy into the patient’s total healthcare plan.
- Oversee PTAs, students, and unlicensed personnel per state and federal requirements.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records.
- Guide patients on post-op recovery, physician protocols, and home exercise programs.
- Administer physical therapy treatments to restore function and relieve pain following the PT’s established plan.
- Regularly confer with the supervising PT and care team regarding patient progress.
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and within facility timeframes.
- Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling and participate in facility training and in-services.
