About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist- Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment in Morristown, VT. This role may also provide direct patient care in the evaluation and treatment of inpatients, which includes patients in the ER, in acute care, and also those going home from PACU. Potentially participates in the weekend holiday inpatient rotation.

Requirements

1 year of Physical Therapist- Outpatient experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail
Professionalism and reliability
Drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
Develop an individualized treatment plan
Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
Use hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
Advise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process
Provide direct patient care in the evaluation and treatment of inpatients, including patients in the ER, in acute care, and those going home from PACU.
Participate in the weekend holiday inpatient rotation.
