About The Position

The Physical Therapist- INF® assesses, plans, and implements Intraneural Facilitation treatments, food testing with neurovascular index, video consultation, Intraneural Facilitation Home Exercise instruction, and Neurovascular Index assessments for patients that are referred or prescribed. Provides quality services autonomously in at the Neurovascular Therapy Center. The physical therapist also administers traditional outpatient orthopedic physical therapy care. The therapist Assists patients to prevent or reverse neuralgia, neuropathy, and disability and aims toward the promotion of maximal patient independence with their own care of their neuropathy. Is responsible for recovery program following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part using Intraneural Facilitation or standard therapy care. Provides care according to Physical Therapy, Medical Center policies and procedures and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with discipline specific designated practice act. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistant upon request. Participates in staff training sessions for learning Intraneural Facilitation and assists in mentoring other therapist who are learning this technique. Participates as designated by the clinical director in research studies involving Intraneural Facilitation. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Current license by California Board of Physical Therapy required.
  • Intraneural Facilitation (INF®) Certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
  • Knowledge of required equipment, assessment tools, and Home Medical Equipment (HME).
  • Knowledgeable in documentation required by regulatory agencies.
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality.
  • Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Able to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Able to be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Able to think critically.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to perform basic math functions.

  • Able to discern temperature variances through touch.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Three years of physical therapy experience preferred.
