About The Position

As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. Interviews patient, family, caregivers, significant others to obtain information about prior level of function, home environment, family relationships, health and psychosocial history. Performs client tests, measurements and evaluations as indicated for the patient’s condition and as per any established best practice guidelines and/or department care standards. Establishes measurable/functional treatment goals that are realistic and consistent with patient/family/caregiver needs. Plans and prepares written treatment programs based on evaluation, age-related and diagnosis- related policies. Administers treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and adjusts the treatment to achieve maximum benefits. Monitors all patients under his/her care: supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and/or Technicians who are involved with treatment, and assures appropriate treatment and documentation; submits a modified plan of care to the physician for altered plans of care; reports any adverse reactions to treatment or changes in condition to the physician as indicated. Institutes or assists with emergency measures for sudden adverse developments such as cardiac arrest or medical conditions requiring activation of a code, rapid response team, or activation of 911.

Requirements

Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited school
Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Oregon
AHA BLS within 30 days of hire
