About The Position

This position is responsible for providing client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on our rehabilitation and recovery units, and contributing to our resident's quality of life through assessment of appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence on our continuing care units. Other duties may include providing clinical supervision to support staff and students. Responsible for other related duties as required. Neuro Rehabilitation Program – for adults who have had a neurological injury, such as a stroke, and require additional assessment, recuperation and rehabilitation before returning to the community.

Requirements

Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Physical Therapy.
Registration with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta is required.
Employees are required to use technologies, devices, resources, and systems provided by the employer, as per Carewest policy and procedure.
Adherence to relevant privacy legislation and best practice including HIA, ATIA, POPA, and InfoCare Behaviours, is required.
Successful applicants not currently working for Carewest will need to provide a suitable police records check and vulnerable sector screen.
Successful applicants may need to provide immunization records for positions in certain environments.

Nice To Haves

AADL authorizer is an asset.
Experience using physiotherapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
New grads and physiotherapist interns welcome.
