Physical Therapist I - Part Time, Atlantic Visiting Nurse, Morris County
About The Position
Atlantic Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for the dynamic Atlantic Visiting Nurse Dept to work 8am-4pm in Morris County. This position will require the therapist to provide therapy services to patients in their home, and require the therapist to work two weekend days per month. Our Home care and Hospice teams work with more than our patients, we work with their families, inside their homes and in their community. Requirements
- Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home health or outpatient physical therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Responsibilities
- Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis.
- Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise.
- Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more.
- Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintain proper documentation.
- Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly.
- Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment.
- Works with other professionals in an effective manner
- Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
