About The Position

This Physical Therapist Director role offers the opportunity to lead an outpatient physical therapy office while remaining directly involved in patient care. The position requires a licensed PT who can manage evaluations, treatment planning, staff support, and the regular operational needs of a busy outpatient clinic.
Patients will rely on your clinical judgment to help them improve movement, regain strength, manage pain, and return to daily activities. Your team will rely on your leadership to keep care organized, consistent, and professionally delivered.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Strong understanding of treatment planning and clinical documentation
• Professional communication and team leadership skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and identify functional goals
• Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
• Provide hands-on therapy in an outpatient setting
• Lead the clinical team through daily patient care priorities
• Review documentation for quality, accuracy, and timely completion
• Help manage patient flow, scheduling coordination, and care transitions
• Maintain compliance with clinic, payer, and regulatory requirements
