About The Position
A Middletown, VA outpatient physical therapy office is hiring a Physical Therapist Director for a full-time position. This opportunity offers $90,000-$120,000 per year, a Monday-Friday schedule, and the chance to lead a clinic team while continuing to provide patient care. This role is for a Physical Therapist who understands that strong outpatient care is built through clear communication, thoughtful treatment planning, accurate documentation, and a team that feels supported.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
- Outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Ability to lead with clear communication and practical direction
Nice To Haves
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and identify functional goals
- Create and update treatment plans based on patient progress
- Provide direct therapy for patients with injury, pain, post-surgical, and mobility needs
- Lead the clinical team through daily care priorities
- Support therapists and staff with patient care planning
- Review notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation
- Help manage workflow, patient flow, and clinic organization
- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, patients, and families
