About The Position

Reporting to a Manager, the Senior Therapist is responsible for the planning, development, organization and delivery of therapy services within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team. The Senior Therapist provides training, coaching, mentoring and guidance to staff therapists and other team members. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Requirements

  • Three (3) years related experience
  • Master of Physical Therapy (MPT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Current CPR Level C
  • Degree in Physical Therapy recognized by Cdn Physiotherapy Association
  • Advanced - Leadership skills
  • Advanced - Communication skills
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families and other health professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
  • Ability to plan/organize/coordinate with other multidisciplinary team members
  • Knowledge in the continuum of spinal care
  • Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking
  • Ability to be innovative and creative
  • Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
  • Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)
  • Registered/eligible for membership with Canadian Physical Therapy Association
